Visiting summer undergraduate researcher | 2026 Summer

My name is Yaseen Khalil, and I am a rising junior at Virginia Tech pursuing a degree in Computational Modeling and Data Analytics (CMDA), with minors in Mathematics and Computer Science. My interests lie in machine learning, network dynamics, and statistical analysis. I enjoy analyzing complex systems and figuring out how their structure changes over time. In this lab, I'm eager to apply these approaches to help make sense of complex biological systems and improve our data workflows. Looking ahead, I plan to use this experience to pursue a Ph.D. or an R&D role in industry, tackling complex computational problems.
